Project 1:8 Ghana 06 - Health Worker Focused Team

Mission Team will entering new ground by sending a team of health workers to Ghana in September 06. The team will be involved in a variety of hospital and clinic work whilst having the opportunity to minister to the people in Ghana.

Ghana Team

The Team includes (left to right) Alan Kent - Leongatha (Southern Territory), Tim Clark - North Brisbane (Team Leader), Jennifer Tuson - Lambton, Pierre Dumenu - Ipswich and Heather Craig - Wagga Wagga.

The work of The Salvation Army where we are looking at sending the team is particularly focused on ministering to children with Cerebral Palsy, Malnutrition and other serious disabilities. However, the team will also be involved in outreach and corps work with with some of the surrounding local Salvation Army churches.

The aims for this trip include;

  • Encourage the Christians of Ghana
  • Learn the issues of poverty
  • Learn to pray intelligently for Ghana
  • Ministering through health related skills to patients in Ghana
