Project 1:8 Honor Role
Check out who has been on each of the project 1:8 trips
Send us your details and we'll keep you up to date on Project 1:8.

Project 1:8 is based on Acts 1:8 'But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea, and in all Samaria and to the ends of the earth.' It is our hope and desire to see every Salvationist, powered by the Holy Spirit, being witnesses for Jesus everywhere they are.
Project 1:8 aims to raise workers for the harvest. We do this by training and equipping people to live their lives as though they are constantly on mission.
The objectives for all of our Project 1:8 trips are the same, whether in Australia or overseas, and they are to
We believe by allowing these three simple things to happen the lives of those who participate and the lives of those we witness to will be radically changed. At the core of all we do on Project 1:8 trips is the practice of the words Jesus spoke to his disciples in Mark 10:43-45 we come to serve and not to be served.
Mission Team desires that Project 1:8 will equip people who are at the leading edge of mission in their corps. It is our intent that every applicant for Project 1:8 will become more effective in their local corps and community.

Project 1:8 Amplify is 6 months of overseas mission and in many ways is similar to a Project 1:8 trip. Teams will be involved in the day to day running of the local church and outreach, they will work closely with local leaders and gain a greater understanding of the life of a missionary.
As with the Project 1:8 trips Amplify teams go to serve and not to be served (Mark 10:45). The aims for all Amplify teams are:
Amplify was set up for people who want to Amplify their experience of mission, of God and of faith. The word Amplify means to make greater or to increase, and that is exactly what we want for all those who are apart of an Amplify team. A greater experience and understanding of God and the purpose he has for them.
Already we have sent 4 people to South Africa and 2 people to PNG.
